I blend in with the best of them, knowing "my place" until I earn their respect. No matter the atmosphere, my intellect is played as a part of the melody flowing through my ears at this present moment in time. I choose the one they see or believe is me, a chameleon forever changing to fit the occasion and compliment the ambiance pre-set by others.
Like a chameleon...
I step into the meeting, my thoughts are more than just that. More of a contribution and resolution to the current situation at the top of the CFO's list. I speak with professionalism, sound and confident, giving a presentation that will succeed and exceed their expectations.
Like a chameleon....
I call my girls up to celebrate and congratulate them on their recent successes by picking the hottest spot for night. I do my two-step straight to the dance floor, dressed head to toe, getting the party jumping, beat bumping, and other things thumping.... like the party was all about us.

I raise my child, teaching her the self-respect that was not my strongest trait, having just learned it a chapter ahead of her... breaking the cycle that seems to be destined in my family of strong, single mothers that fought hard for us to make it.

I rush home from work, putting a hot plate before him by the time washes away his hard day. Showing him the love he deserves for carrying the weight of the world on his back, being the head of my household, and bottom of the totem pole at the labor union.
Like a chameleon...
I perform in all situations, to the best of my ability, with humility and virtuosity, knowing I can one day make this world a better place. For He has given me, a woman, the gift like no other. That is, I can acclimate to the aura of my current situation, like a chameleon.
